Do you enjoy the warmth of a spring or summer day?
Sauna therapy is one way to harness that warmth and use it therapeutically! Our sauna is a Far Infrared sauna (FIR). This type of sauna is different from a conventional sauna in that they use a form of energy that heats objects directly, rather than heating the air.
Far infrared saunas are used therapeutically with success because the infrared waves are capable of penetrating the body’s tissues a few inches in depth. In doing so, our body’s own ability to heal is stimulated. The body’s own thermal system is so similar to an infrared wave, that we absorb up to 93% of the infrared waves that hit our skin.
The FIR Sauna is effective at a temperature between 110° and 150° F , allowing for a more comfortable experience compared to a conventional sauna. This means that people with chronic heart or lung conditions can safely use the sauna, as there is less strain and stress on the body. When you step in to our sauna, you will feel a comfortable and gentle heat that is easy to relax and breath in.
Our sauna has a radio/cd/mp3 connection and we provide some music, but feel free to bring what you enjoy listening too! You will need water and a towel both of which we provide but we do encourage you to bring your own refillable water bottle and towel if you prefer!
